Redroofs Agency exists to create and support professional opportunities for all who train with us, primarily seeking work in TV, film, Theatre including West End and Touring Productions, Commercials and Recordings. Your current ambition may be to work in feature films, in commercials or to join the cast of a West End show. We are here to help you!

In a single day we may have pupils on the set of a major feature at Pinewood, and at major castings in Central London; in the West End shows, or boarding their trains for UK touring. From Leicester to Doha, opportunities to gain professional experience are extraordinary and can be positively life-changing, as indeed they were for the hundreds of local children who were booked through Redroofs to work on the Harry Potter movies. The professional expectation makes for a superb real life work experience for any young enthusiast. Children attend castings in Central London and we have regular visits from Casting Directors to the School.

Our job extends to looking after the needs and expectations of parent and pupils as we do so, in order to give everyone a happy, professional and safe experience. We give guidance throughout the process as appropriate, from start to completion, supplying professional licenced chaperones on all engagements, overseeing the licensing process from dream to screen.

Parents of Full Time Pupils and 6th form should please note that the School operates a Sole Management Agency only and by acceptance of a place at the full time School, the child/6th former shall become a client of the Agency on sole management agreement. Neither parent nor pupil may seek nor accept auditions or work through on-line casting forums or services, through their own efforts, or via other Agents without the written consent of the Co-Heads of School. The School Agency will take a 15-20% commission on all engagements for a full time Redroofs pupil. The School will not permit its pupils to seek nor accept work via third parties and shall reserve the right to decline schooling to a pupil who is in breach of this regulation.

All pupils (part time and full time) registered with the Agency are required to take a space in Spotlight. The Spotlight is an independent internet linked casting service used by all bona fide casting companies and all entries are pin protected for child protection. The majority of castings take place in London and from time to time at the school. The parent reserves the right at all times to turn down an audition opportunity. Attending a casting is a commitment to accepting an engagement should it be offered.  The school has a list of registered and CRB checked chaperones who accompany under 16’s on professional assignments at the expense of the production company and who may be available by private payment arrangement to chaperone children to castings.
