Looking for a new full time school for September?
The Part Time School acts as a direct feeder to our Day School Department and many pupils make the transition from once-a-week classes into the full time school (years 5 to 11 plus 2 year college course)
Any parent with a child in a part time class here wishing to enquire about suitability of a pupil for our full time school or 16+ college should contact sam@redroofs.co.uk
Initial assessment can be made prior to spending a full day at the school or requesting an audition. We are always happy to make time to show parents around our full time school. Please visit us soon.

Please don't go looking for Redroofs in every town - you won't find us. Whether you choose one class a week or a selection of classes from our timetable we aim to offer a first class theatre training in comfortable class sizes.

All our Dance Classes are Graded - and all Musical Theatre Casses work towards Presentations and Performances. Our Drama Classes are confidence building and highly imaginative. Many of our pupils opt to join our long established Agency (pupils currently appearing in West End shows;
feature films - both featured and as extras); tv programmes and commercials. Last year saw the entire Dance and Musical Theatre Department performing up to 7 performances in the larger of our own two Theatres;

Our dancers work towards examinations - and we rank amongst the highest dance examination success record in the U.K;

We offer many exciting workshops including tv acting and movie making.All staff are CRB checked and experienced in working with Children and Young People.

What Redroofs part time classes have to offer.

Pupils choose their selection from the following:

Dress up and Dance - an introduction to dance for very young children age 3 and 4 years
£90.00 per term of ten half hour classes
Simple dance steps and rhythms taught in a fun way using a variety of props from our “dressing up box”. Fairies with wands, Kings and queens with crowns , animals with tails, birds with wings. Scarves , hats, musical instruments and more.Lots to make an exciting and happy start to dancing.

Musical theatre ages 4-16+
£90.00per term of ten 45 minute classes
£98.00 per term of ten 1 hour classes
£150.00 per term of ten 90 minute classes
After vocal and physical warm –ups, Pupils work on excerpts from a wide variety of musical theatre shows which may include singing, choreographed movement and acting. These classes are immensely popular and cover a huge range of musical theatre styles suitable to the age of the class. These classes build confidence and artistry and the end product is a musical theatre performance either in our studios or in one of our two fully equipped theatres.

Tap ages 5 to 95!
£90.00 per term of ten 45 minute classes
£98.00 per term of ten 1hour classes[adults]
These popular classes are exciting and stimulating and fun. Tap develops rhythmic ability, and improves coordination. We teach ISTD syllabus and pupils may take examinations if they wish and appear in shows from time to time. Most children’s classes are taught by Carolyn [head of dance ] who is an expert with over 30 years tap teaching experience having taught many now West end artistes from total beginner to advanced professional level. Our tap exam successes rate among the highest in the UK.
Adult tap classes at all levels are held on Wednesday evenings with a new complete beginners class now enrolling for September. These are non syllabus based classes and enormous fun. Ask our longest standing[we wont say oldest ] adult tap pupils- some have been coming to Redroofs adult tap for over 24 years!

Ballet ages 5 and up
£90.00 per term of ten 45 minute classes
Ballet is a core subject for all performing arts giving strength and line to the body and ensuring good posture for life. In order to achieve success in any form of dance, ballet is the lynchpin on which all dance styles are based.
It is as suitable for boys as for girls so all budding Billy Elliot’s are encouraged to come along.[we do not expect boys to wear tights –boys wear jazz trousers!]

Jazz and modern ages 5 and up
£90.00 per term of ten 45 minute classes.
Jazz classes are a high energy and exhilarating way to keep fit and learn to dance. These classes combine free style and street jazz and the latest current dance styles with some classes learning ISTD modern Grades. Classes move through limbering and strengthening exercises to dance steps , leaps ,combinations and exciting routines for performances and ISTD modern exams for some classes.

Matt’s Total Toning [adults only]
£80 per term of ten one hour classes
Jeans feeling a bit tight? Want to tone up but don’t know where to begin?
Matt’s Total Toning is a workout created and designed to tone up your entire body in just one session a week. Run by Matt, a fully qualified Personal Trainer, this fun filled and structured class is the perfect way to keep fit. Matt’s Total Toning targets all ages and abilities, and is ideal for you, whether you are new to exercise or already exercise regularly. So if you are looking to tone up, lose those extra pounds, or just feel better about yourself and have some fun, these classes are designed to focus on you.

Creative Drama ages 7 and up
£98.00 per term of ten one hour classes

Encompasses drama games, quick-thinking skills, improvisation and devised theatre. Groups work with a huge range of stimuli including news cuttings and images music , props etc. The key objective is to develop quick thinking, creativity, confidence, exploration and communication skills, all essentials in everday life and of course the key to audition success too!

Script workshop ages 7 and up
£90.00 per term of ten 45 minute classes
A highly enjoyable and lively opportunity to experiment with scripts, characters, dialogue and also script-writing, this is a very popular option for anyone looking for the chance to audition for roles in professional films and television, or for those who want to take a piece and put it on its feet . Every week brings new material – whether it be a scene from one of your favourite films or adapted from a bestselling book, or something new where you might be asked to create a scripted ending.
