Entry Procedure for entry to Redroofs Day School

Redroofs Theatre School is a co-educational Day School for Years 5 to 11 inclusive (ages 9 to 16 years). Our intake is selective and is based upon an audition and Assessment Day, taken up to one year before proposed entry. Pupils sit academic tests during the Assessment Day in order to give a clear picture of the whole child and to highlight any SEN for which the school may be unable to cater . The school is not academically selective. The school may wish to contact previous school(s) in order to make a full assessment of a pupils suitability.

We are committed to ensuring that admission decisions will be made by a process that is free from any discrimination on the grounds of disability; race; ethnic or national origin or gender. The School must also feel reasonably sure that we are able to educate and develop the prospective pupil to the best of his or her potential. Our aim is that a pupil will have a rewarding and happy school career.

Admission to the school normally takes place between Years 5 and 7. Later admission is subject to availability of space within the year group.
