Joining the top end of our school, students are committed to the arts and have a relaxed but workmanlike relationship with their Directors and teachers.

Our Sixth form (Years 12 and 13) work both as two year groups and also as Company. They may also work alongside our Upper School pupils for Vocational Training depending upon grades. Expectations at all times are of a strong work ethic, and Sixth formers may carry appropriate responsibilities alongside their own training. They have good (although un-guaranteed) chance of achieving professional credits as we are often a first "port of call" for students who are out of licence for film and television.

We aim to provide the highest calibre of training in the UK, understood within the context of world class theatre which we aim to experience at all levels, from local touring, to the West End to Broadway!

The sixth formers work within a full timetable (8.15 starts) and guided by a BTEC Level 3 Extended Edexcel qualification, the opportunity to train and gain practical insight into being a teacher, and  an extensive programme of Performing Arts classes within an Acting and Media Specialism or a Dance Specialism. As a school with its own agency we encourage professional work during training and believe that this enhances the student understanding of the industry they are entering.

Our reputation as a centre of excellence in Musical Theatre underpins the entire school and all pupils, in addition to their BTEC performances, are fully involved in our annual school shows, performances and many exciting workshops.

Students have a Year Group mentor who oversees their BTEC achievements and our "Open Door" policy means there is always someone they can talk to if they have concerns about work or other matters.

Our specialist arts based vocational training in the Performing Arts is both a stage school and a pathway to University or Drama School. Some of our students may also choose a film school pathway and past students of Redroofs are now key players in Production, Directing and other media careers.

Students can immerse themselves within their Sixth Form studies knowing that they are a part of the industry, with access to opportunities such as auditions and professional work where appropriate.

The School is registered with UCAS and will assist Year 13 pupils in securing places for Further Education.
