Our timetable offers each pupil a programme of academic and vocational classes that is fully integrated to ensure a rounded and evolving curriculum.

From Year 9 all students opt for either a Dance Specialism or an Acting & Media Specialism. Both work alongside Musical Theatre. All pupils will receive specialist classes across both Dance and Acting with a significant bias towards their chosen field of training.

For Dance, we follow the RAD Dance Syllabus for Ballet and ISTD Modern and Tap. The examination system is at the core of our classroom training and this, combined with the many extensive pro-workshops, musical theatre and performance opportunities fully develops the potential of the young performer across the genres.

Our curriculum is based on current practice and our team includes Dance Examiners and many working professionals from the key West End companies. All pupils have the opportunity to take GCSE Dance in Years 9 and 10 as a part of their academic programme and at 6th form to take their professional DDI Dance Teaching qualifications on school premises under the guidance of a long established Examiner.

Our Dance Examination successes are some of the highest in the UK and will support the next step giving our higher grade pupils additional UCAS points.

Our young actors may also access LAMDA training. Once again this can provide useful UCAS points at the higher levels.
