With a significant track record of transition to the most outstanding Musical Theatre Degree Courses and outstanding teaching, we offer a credible route towards a Musical Theatre Career. With many pupils (and teaching faculty) performing in West End and touring shows, the sense of possibility...and even probability...is omnipresent.

Our team of highly skilled and professional musical theatre and Singing teachers bring West End standards and choreographic expertise to Redroofs, and our recent teaching team of in-house and visiting teachers has included cast and musical team of Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Wicked, Starlight Express, Matilda and Oliver. Pupils respond well to the challenges that Workshops bring, whether vocal or choreographic and it is always exciting to work on material with exacting detail 'as seen on stag. We seize performance opportunities and are regularly invited to participate in large scale performances - the very best way for our pupils to learn and practice their craft.

Weekly Workshop

These cover a diverse and ever widening range of musical theatre styles, bringing together Years 12 and 13 and also Upper School year groups.

The emphasis of Musical Theatre training is on encapsulating all three genres - song, acting, and dance and whilst honing technical skills in each, we work with ensemble groups giving solo opportunities to many. Workshops are a time to explore repertoire from musicals new and traditional, and always with the ultimate goal of theatre or studio performances. Where possible we deliver the same material in different venues to a range of audiences and with different technical/production constraints. This is where major learning can happen.

Private Lessons

We offer extra curricular private singing tuition and audition preparation where necessary and will prepare appropriate sixth form candidates for their forthcoming auditions.

School Visits

We offer theatre trips, Q and A's and opportunities to visit Shakespeare's Italy and Broadway to 6th form students during their training.
