Musical Theatre Programme

Little Star Performers (30 minutes)

Ages 3.5-5 years
Our introduction to the wonderful world of Musical Theatre for our youngest children. Redroofs Little Stars sing, dance and act to popular themes engaging the children in a fun and inspiring programme of songs from the shows. The Little Stars costume and prop box is filled with an array of stage accessories to fire your child’s imagination. Recent themes have included The Wizard of Oz, Teddy Bears Picnic, Join The Circus, Peter Pan, Christmas Adventures and Disney. Children perform in our own studios and in filmed performances for family and friends.

Musical Theatre (1 hour)

Ages 5+ years
This class is all about Performance! Sing, Dance and Act extracts from Musical Theatre Shows. A combination of essential theatre skills for all children who love to perform. Rehearse your performance to put on a show or filmed performance for family and friends. Past shows have included Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Annie, The Lion King, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory and Matilda! Our Musical Theatre pupils have performed at venues such as the Wycombe Swan Theatre.

Musical Theatre School (2 hours)

Ages 6-10 years
Due to popular demand, we are delighted to add a new Junior Musical Theatre School to our Saturday morning programme for children ages 7-10 years enabling your child to enhance their Performing Arts skills.

A happy place for all children who love to perform. 2 hours of Musical Theatre, Dance Training & Drama Skills.

Musical Theatre School (2.5 hours)

Ages 6-16+ years
Our happy place for all children who love to perform. 2.5 hours of Singing Jazz Dance and Acting. Our expert team of inspiring friendly teachers and choreographers will rehearse your performance to put on a show or filmed performance for family and friends.

Performances in our own studios, in our school theatre and by invitation at other theatres.

Past shows have included Mary Poppins, Mean Girls, Chitty Bang Bang, Legally Blonde, Billy Elliot, Elf the Musical, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Annie, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, The Greatest Showman and many more!

Our Musical Theatre pupils have performed at venues such as the Wycombe Swan Theatre and The Shaw Theatre, London.

Gold Team Training (2 hours)

Ages 7-16+ years
An outstanding training for able children who are passionate about Musical Theatre.

We welcome visiting Industry Musical Theatre performers, Directors and Choreographers as well as our regular teaching team. Industry experts teach Musical Theatre Repertoire straight from the West End. Classes include West End routines, Vocal skills, Acting through Song, Performance Technique, and more. This class is high energy and fast moving and suitable for more experienced students or very able beginners. Industry Q and A’s and meet the West End Performers. Regular performances on film or performing opportunities in our theatre, or upon occasion at external theatres. Recent performances have included West End, Regional Theatres and at public events. Past performances include The 02 Indigo Theatre, London, The Ambassadors Theatre (West End), Wycombe Swan Theatre, and TV appearances (by audition). Entry to Gold Team is by informal online self- tape or at our studio by arrangement.

Saturday All Day Training School

Ages 7-16 years
Combination of Gold Team and Saturday Afternoon School. Full day of Musical Theatre training with supervised lunch break. See above for detailed class content.

Our very popular combination of Gold Team and Musical Theatre Saturday Afternoon School. A whole day of outstanding Musical Theatre Training. See above for details. A great way to spend the whole day with your Redroofs friends. Supervised lunch break. Packed lunch required.

Mini Elite Development Team, Elite Development Team & Elite Team Training (1.5 hours)

Ages 7-14+ years
Strictly by Invitation only. A Company Training for invited Gifted and Talented pupils.

Specialist Elite training including Vocal Technique, Harmony Work, Acting Through Song, Script and Character Study, additional Dance Training, Vocal Recording, Filming, Ensemble and enhanced and featured performance opportunities including The Shaftesbury Theatre, London, the O2 Indigo, London, The Shaw Theatre London, Taplow Court, Wycombe Swan Theatre. This is a supplementary team training and runs concurrently with our other weekly classes. Children are not able to attend this extra class only.

LAMDA Musical Theatre Tuition

LAMDA Musical Theatre Tuition is offered as an extra for children attending classes at Redroofs. Subject to availability.
